As of Friday 24th July, Government guidelines now state that wearing an appropriate face covering in shops, supermarkets, indoor shopping centres, banks and post offices in England is mandatory.
Face coverings are not a replacement for social distancing and regular hand washing. It is strongly recommended that you remain cautious and continue to adhere to social distancing guidance.
Please be mindful that there are some circumstances, for health, age or equality reasons, whereby people are not expected to wear face coverings in these settings.
🔹young children (under 11 years)
🔹people with breathing difficulties
🔹people living with a disability
Please ensure you are wearing your face covering correctly and that your mouth and nose is fully covered.
The Government recommends the wearing of face coverings in other enclosed public spaces such as shopping malls, but this is not mandatory.
